Why "Malmal"?

"Malmal" is the Urdu word for muslin — a fine, breathable, ultra-soft woven fabric with a centuries-old history in South Asia. We chose the name because it captures exactly what we're going for: softness that lasts, not just softness on day one.

Our Story

Malmal Home began in 2017 as a wholesale and manufacturing operation in Pakistan's home-textile trade, founded by Amir Chaudhary in Lahore. Years spent sourcing fabric and working the production floor built a close, practical understanding of where most towels and bedsheets actually fail — the pile thins out, the colour fades, the fabric goes stiff.

In 2022, that manufacturing know-how moved online. Malmal Home launched as a direct-to-consumer brand, cutting out the traditional retail markup and passing the savings — and the quality control — straight to customers, with cash-on-delivery so no one has to take a blind risk online. Today the brand is led by CEO Muhammad Hadi, carrying that same standard forward.
